Private Theron Treat

The following letter is from Theron Treat to Mr. Barrillai Treat, West Warerster, Otsego County, New York, Co. D, 3rd NY Cavalry. Theron enlisted August 23, 1864, in Westford, NY, at the age of 24 and mustered out June 07,1865 in Norfolk, Virginia.
The letter as you can see is one continuous sentence and is full of misspellings.
Theron looks to be a patriot. As you will see he talks about feeling like a man, not coming home until after his enlistment is up, and telling a relative to have sons to send to war.
