Soldiers Art Work.

The item above seems to have been cut from a buckle of some type. It was found in a camp near Great Bridge, Virginia. I have no idea what it may have been used for as it has no attachment hook or pin on the back.

This piece of art work was found near Richmond, Virginia. The artist carved a face in a flattened minie ball.
This soldier had a lot to do. He managed to find enough time to cut hearts, clovers, and stars out of these 1852, 1853, and 1854 Half Dimes.
These coins were found in a Federal winter camp along the Halifax Road near Petersburg, Virginia.
